SALT WATER This is the USS Spiegel Grove. It's the largest Ship (510') ever scuttled to become an artificial reef. It was sank 6 miles off of the cost of Key Largo on May 17th 2002 and again on June 11th in nearly 130' of blue water. Seems she went down keel up and had to be rolled, to end up on her starboard side. This is what it looked like before she was scuttled.
Underwater pictures to come after we dive the wreck on Labor Day.
Well as I promised, here are some of the pictures from the dive Labor Day Weekend. They're not the best, but I'm still learning to take underwater stills. There will be a picture link to follow of all the dive trip pictures I take.
